The Lord’s Work Continues in Hard Pressed Cuba

At this writing, the regular electricity blackouts in the capital city of Havana, Cuba last a minimum of 5 days. Water cannot be pumped, air conditioning and fans don’t work, there are no lights except battery powered ones, and cooking must after be done outside with charcoal. Life is very difficult, but our team in Cuba persists in sharing the gospel. While most Cubans are looking for a way out, our sports missionaries choose to stay and suffer in order to share the good news of Jesus and his love.

Our support group here in the United States has concentrated on each member’s ministry focus. These include church planting and building, discipleship, food distribution, electricity supply, and transportation needs.

The needs are great. We need sports equipment, athletic shoes, bibles and discipleship materials, medicines, hydration packets, and food.

In September, our ministry partners in Tampa, Florida are sending a container to Cuba with a variety of things. you can help by sending any of the above items at least three weeks before September 1. If you care to defray the cost of shipping that container, you can do that as well as it costs several thousand dollars to ship.

We are trying to raise the funds to meet these needs and more. Please consider helping us. After celebrating our country’s 250th birthday, I’m thankful at the way God has blessed us in so many ways, especially financially.
