Help us to use sports in Cuba to share the Gospel
We are a group of coaches and pastors that support the Cuban ministry MADEM/FCA that encourages local Cuban churches to use sports as a way to share the Good News of Christ.
About Us
What is MADEM? It stands for Ministerio de Alcance Deportivo Misionero or Ministry of Missionary Sports Outreach. It is a group of coaches that enlist and train local churches to reach youth and their families through sports. It serves under the auspices of the Western Baptist Convention of Cuba. Several years ago, The Fellowship of Christian Athletes selected MADEM as the group that they wanted to represent Cuba in their international ministry. FCA provides ministry resources and salaries to this vital work. MADEM in Cuba reported that in the past year, they have touched the lives of more than 2,820 athletes in 116 huddles and 10 sponsored tournaments. There were 471 faith decisions for Christ. MADEM has 175 volunteer workers and several paid staff throughout the island of Cuba.
Our Beliefs
We believe in the triune creator God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father reached out to sinful man in love through his son, Jesus Christ who came to earth by a virgin birth. He lived, and died on the cross to save mankind from sin. He rose again and is seated at the right hand of the Father from where one day, he will come to judge the living and the dead.
